Speakers’ Corner

Speakers' Corner is a live forum within Car Club Square for visitors to listen to talks given by a number of specialist guest speakers. This is an opportunity for you to seek advice, acquire an insight into and better understand the current classic car market from industry professionals. Including a special guest appearance by Sir Stirling Moss.

All sessions are free to attend and will operate on a first come, first served basis. 

Friday

Time Speaker Overview
12:00pm Ari Vatanen In conversation with rallying legend Ari Vatanen.
2:00pm Hagerty Insurance Hagerty International, one of the UK’s classic insurance experts and the UK’s leading classic car valuation experts, will be holding a series of talks and discussions on classic car values. They will be covering market analysis, trends, reviewing some indices and comparing classic cars against other investment assets. Hagerty will also be looking into their crystal ball and will be forecasting the key cars to watch in 2016 and the next best buy.
3:00pm Will Smith, Silverstone Auctions Will Smith, Sales Manager at Silverstone Auctions, is an experienced international auction negotiator, who can be found at any number of events in Europe throughout the year. Completely immersed in the auction world, Will Smith will be holding talks and discussions throughout the weekend on buying and selling at auction with a focus on one of Silverstone Auctions specialties - modern classics.
4:00pm Joseph Perrier Champagne Tasting Martin Gamman, UK and Ireland Director of official champagne sponsor Champagne Joseph Perrier, is a Master of Wine and will host an informal masterclass which will guide you through three of the classic styles of champagne produced by this historic house, including their prestige Cuvée Joséphine. Martin is well known for the clear and engaging way he explains the complexities of champagne. (maximum of 40 people)
5:00pm Chris Routledge, Coys Auctions Chris Routledge of Coys Auctions is an historic motorcar auctioneer with over 20 years experience and presenter on Channel 5’s The Classic Car Show.  Chris will be holding talks and discussions throughout the weekend, offering an insiders perspective and expert advice on buying and selling at auction and current trends in the classic car market.

 

Saturday

12:00pm Sir Stirling Moss Britain's greatest ever racing driver, Sir Stirling Moss, will make a special appearance in Speakers' Corner on Saturday 20th February at 12pm. Stirling will be interviewed by Simon Taylor as he discusses his new book, Stirling Moss - My Racing Life. The special talk will be followed by a book signing.
2:00pm Richard Biddulph

Richard Biddulph, Managing Director of Vintage and Prestige Motors, is an experienced classic car dealer and an expert in sales and valuations. Richard will be offering advice on buying and selling and how to make the best investments.
