The Motor Sport Hall of Fame Showcase
Motor Sport magazine launched the Hall of Fame in 2010 with the intention to honour those who’ve made significant contributions on track and stage, or from the pitwall and drawing board, from every era.
The London Classic Car Show brought the Hall of Fame to life, with a tribute to the 8 founding members: Enzo Ferrari, Tazio Nuvolari, Juan Manuel Fangio, Sir Stirling Moss, Jim Clark, Sir Jackie Stewart, Ayrton Senna and Michael Schumacher. The Motor Sport Hall of Fame Showcase displayed an iconic collection of cars associated with their legendary careers.
Cars that were on display:
Enzo Ferrari's 1952 Ferrari 500: driven by Alberto Ascari to win the F1 Championship for Ferrari for the first time
Tazio Nuvolari's 1934 Alfa Romeo Tip B-P3
Juan Manuel Fangio's 1952 BRM V16: also driven by Sir Stirling Moss - they both hated it!
Sir Stirling Moss' 1957 Vanwall: Moss came 2nd in this car in the 1957 F1 Championship, the year he should have won it...
Jim Clark's 1962/63 Lotus 25: the car Clark won his first F1 world title in
Sir Jackie Stewart's 1973 Tyrell 006 - Stewart won his final race and final F1 title in this car
Michael Schumacher's 1993 Benetton B193 - designed by Ross Brawn, Schumacher regularly outqualified Senna in this car
